These garments were made in China by Fluid Connection who were established in 2006 and are located in Hangzhou. They have been making garments for Elk since 2016 and are visited  at least two to three times a year by the company. Employees of Fluid Connection also come to see Elk in Melbourne annually to work with their team. The factory that Elk makes their products in is a relatively small operation but quite modern with automated systems for efficiencies and quality.

Fluid Connection are members of Sedex and Elk choses to operate with them not only for their skills but as they are located close to their fabric and trims suppliers, this reduces transportation impacts, costs and shares other third party suppliers such as dye and print houses.

They are actively working with Elk on ways to improve the sustainable profiles of their product including shifting to roll packing methods to reduce plastic consumption and replacing conventional sewing threads to recycled materials amongst many other things.
